The Lawrence Chamber would like to welcome our new Director of Communications, Fally Afani.
Fally comes to us with an extensive background in media, including broadcast, print, and online journalism. She is the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award for her online work in journalism, several Kansas Association of Broadcasters awards, and the 2019 Rocket Grant Award from Charlotte Street and the Andy Warhol Foundation.
“We are thrilled to have Fally as a part of our team. Her experience and love of Lawrence uniquely positions her to add opportunities and collaborations to our Chamber,” said Bonnie Lowe, President and CEO The Chamber. “Her vast experience working with large-scale media organizations and government entities give her a unique insight into economic development for communities like Lawrence.”
Fally, who has been working since July 1st, is eager to roll up her sleeves and get to work. “This has been a bit of a dream position for me. I’m so excited to join the Chamber and help my community.”
