Eudora recently started offering career and technical education programs. Career
and technical education prepares students for the workforce. The programs provide
hands-on-training and instructors teach employability skills. This consortium provides
vocational education courses in building trades, culinary arts, auto collision technology,
health care sciences, agriculture, graphic communications and industrial engineering.
The communities of Eudora and De Soto, KS work together to provide these programs to
the local area. Eudora is located approximately 6 miles from Lawrence.

Information Source: Haskell Indian Nations University
Located in Lawrence, Kansas, Haskell has an average enrollment of
over 1000 students each semester. Students represent federally recognized tribes
from across the United States and are as culturally diverse as imaginable. Students select programs that will
prepare them to enter baccalaureate programs in elementary teacher education, American
Indian studies, business administration, and environmental science; to transfer
to another baccalaureate degree-granting institution; or to enter directly into
employment. Haskell continues to integrate American Indian/Alaska Native culture
into all its curricula. This focus of the curriculum, besides its intertribal constituency
and federal support through the Bureau of Indian Affairs, makes Haskell unique and
provides exciting challenges as Haskell moves into the 21st century.

Pinnacle Career Institute's goal for a half of a century has been to train students
for specific careers and to help students secure employment upon graduation. PCI
has built an excellent reputation over the past 50 years. With a new name in 2002,
Pinnacle Career Institute continues to strive to train its students to reach the
"pinnacle" of their career opportunities.
In 2003, Pinnacle Career Institute has grown to include a campus in Lawrence, Kansas,
and is proud to offer six additional training programs to prepare students for some
of today's fastest growing career fields. Certificate programs are available in
Accounting, Computer Programming Technology, Executive Assistant, Massage Therapy,

The University of Kansas Continuing Education School has a focus on providing workforce development solutions for employers. The university
provides professional short courses that usually last 2-5 days. These courses provide
training to working professionals including engineers, manufactures and aerospace
personnel. The University of Kansas Continuing Education School is located Lawrence.
