City wants input from Chamber members on new sign code

The sign code is being rewritten and the City of Lawrence wants your input. After a U.S. Supreme Court ruling, regulations can only be based on zoning and land use, not based on the message content. The new code includes new and clarified definitions, revised requirements for sign permit applications, plus changes to electronic message center (EMC) allowances, temporary signs, and more.
